Pénteken a Trump-adminisztráció megindította közel 1400 külügyminisztériumi alkalmazott elbocsátását – adta hírül a Reuters.
A leépítések a Marco Rubio külügyminiszter által kidolgozott átszervezés részét képezik, aki szerint a minisztériuma fenntartása túl sok pénzbe kerül, nehezen irányítható és ideológiailag elkötelezett. Ahogy az Egyesült Államok visszavonul, ellenségeink – mint például a Kínai Népköztársaság – bővítik a diplomáciai befolyásukat, ami csökkenti az amerikaiak biztonságát – olvasható a szenátus külügyi bizottságának demokrata tagjai által aláírt nyilatkozatban.
A Trump-adminisztráció tagjai és a republikánusok túlzónak érzik ezt az helyzetértékelést. A Twitter mikroblog platform elbocsátotta alkalmazottainak felét – derül ki a cég biztonsági és integritásért felelős vezetője, Yoel Roth a tweetjéből.
Az elbocsátás mértékéről Roth tweetje volt az első megerősítés a Twitter részéről. Az „alkalmazottak fele” a Twitter esetében úgy 3700 főt jelenthet. Elon Musk, a cég tulajdonos-vezérigazgatója Twitter üzenetben annyit közölt, hogy „minden elbocsátottnak három hónapos végkielégítést ajánlottunk fel”.
Roth közleménye szerint a félretájékoztatás és a káros tartalmak terjedésének megakadályozásáért felelős csapatának 15 százalékát érintik az elbocsátások.
A Twitter Egyesült Államokban alkalmazott dolgozói már csütörtökön csoportos keresetet nyújtottak be a cég ellen azzal a váddal, hogy nem tartja be a tömeges elbocsátásoknál előírt 60 napos felmondási időt, ami sérti a kaliforniai és a szövetségi törvényeket – számolt be róla az MTI.
Az elbocsátott alkalmazottak egy korábbi bejelentésnek megfelelően pénteken emailben kapták meg az értesítést, hogy ez az utolsó munkanapjuk a cégnél – jelentette a Bloomberg hírügynökség.
Az elbocsátásokat a cég vezérigazgatója azzal kommentálta, hogy „nem látott más lehetőséget”, mert a Twitter napi négymillió dollárt veszít a hirdetők távozása miatt. Musk szerint aktivista csoportok nyomást gyakoroltak a nagy hirdetőkre, hogy vonják vissza reklámmegrendeléseiket. Musk egy pénteki befektetői konferencián ezt az Alkotmány első kiegészítése elleni támadásnak nevezte.
Yoel Roth ugyanakkor megerősítette, hogy a Twitter továbbra is ellenőrzi a mikroblog üzenetek tartalmát attól függetlenül, hogy a milliárdos Elon Musk átvette a vállalatot. Musk nem sokkal Roth után maga is közölte: „hogy teljesen egyértelmű legyen, a Twitter továbbra is elkötelezett a tartalom ellenőrzése mellett”.

az enerheticsniji, az azovi, a pogyilszki, a polszjai, a pivnicniji, a szlobozsanszkoji
és a bukovinszkoji vámhivatalok vezetőit. Az odesszai vámhivatal vezetője
figyelmeztetést kapott az elkövetkezendő elbocsátásáról.
A pénzügyminiszter szerint az elmúlt két
hétben alapos elemzésnek vetették alá a vámhivatalok munkáját. Az Állami
Vámszolgálat átfogó ellenőrzése továbbra is folyamatban van. Hozzátette, hogy
számos vámhivatal teljesítménye alapján már le lehet vonni a következtetéseket munkájuk
hatékonyságáról, ami személyi döntésekhez vezetett. A miniszter közölte a
vámhatóságok jelenlegi vezetőivel, hogy személyes ellenőrzése alatt tartja a
vámszolgálat reformjának végrehajtását. „A vámhivatalok napi
teljesítménymutatóival rendelkezem, információkat kapok mind az Állami
Vámszolgálattól, úgy az üzleti életből a korrupciós sémák működéséről és a
vámhatóságok jogellenes cselekedeteiről. Ez elfogadhatatlan. És én nem fogok

szükség van a vámszolgálat rendszerének a megváltoztatására. Kifejeztem a reformmal
kapcsolatos elvárásaimat, és konkrét feladatokat fogalmaztam meg önöknek” –
mondta Marcsenko. Hozzátette, hogy a május 15-i tanácskozás már nem a tervekről
és feladatokról szólt, hanem a valós eredményekről, amelyek még nincsenek. „Ez
a valós helyzet. Ezért ennek igazgatói testületi ülésnek az eredménye, hogy a
vámhivatalok vezetőinek 50%-a elbocsátásra
került” – hangsúlyozta Marcsenko. Egyben hozzátette, hogy ez nem az utolsó
ilyen döntés a vámszolgálatnál.
„A személyi változtatások a
vámszolgálatban addig folytatódnak, amíg a vámhatóság megfelelően nem fog működni
magasan képzett és becsületes alkalmazottakkal. Ugyanakkor az erre érdemes
szakemberek számíthatnak a törvény védelmére és a támogatásomra” – mondta a
miniszter. Marcsenko hozzá tette még, hogy ezen felül Ukrajnában megteremtik a
megfelelő munkakörülményeket azon vámtisztviselők számára, akik „egy kemény, de
tisztességes válogatáson” esnek át.
