Ifat Shasha-Biton oktatási miniszter kezdetben ellenezte a kormány döntését, de később beleegyezett, hogy ne kelljen elhalasztani a tanévkezdést az országban.
A kormány döntésének megfelelően az úgynevezett zöld belépők rendszerét vezetik be a tanárok és az iskola dolgozói számára. Ez azt jelenti, hogy csak akkor dolgozhatnak oktatási intézményben, ha oltási tanúsítvánnyal vagy negatív koronavírus-teszttel rendelkeznek.
