A Google úgy döntött, hogy teljesen leállítja az AdSense hirdetési hálózat tevékenységét Oroszországban, amely lehetővé tette a hirdetési blokkok elhelyezését a webhelyeken.
A Meduza cikke szerint a Google Payments levélében az áll, hogy deaktiválják az összes AdSense-fiókot, amelynek székhelye Oroszországban van.
Ez azt jelenti, hogy ezeken a számlákon keresztül nem lehet majd bevételhez jutni. A júliusi bevételeket augusztus 21. és 26. között fizetik ki, kivéve, ha a számlán felfüggesztették a kifizetéseket, és nem érték el a kifizetési küszöböt – áll a levélben.
2022 márciusának elején a Google már letiltotta az új fiókok létrehozását Oroszországból, valamint felfüggesztette a meglévő fiókok működését.
Számos orosz blogger és webhelytulajdonos számára ez komoly anyagi csapást jelent, mivel a Google AdSense volt az egyik legnépszerűbb bevételszerzési platform.
