A brit Hutchinson Heinemann könyvkiadó Üzenet Ukrajnából címmel jelentette meg Volodimir Zelenszkij elnök örökbecsű beszédeinek gyűjteményét – számolt be az Ukrajinszka Pravda hírportál a The Bookseller című brit szaklapra hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint a beszédgyűjtemény előszavát maga az ukrán államfő írta. A kiadó a világ minden táján megkapta a könyv kiadásának jogát, beleértve az USA-t, Németországot, Spanyolországot, Portugáliát és más országokat is.
Mint a brit cég közölte, a papíralapú változat mellett Zelenszkij beszédei hangos és e-könyvek formájában is megjelennek. „A könyv Ukrajna történelmét meséli el elnökének szavaival. Történet egy nemzetről, amely bátran védekezik az orosz agresszió ellen. És egy olyan nép története, amely a demokráciáért folytatott harcban vezeti a világot” – állította a kiadó.
A könyv 2019-től kezdődően 16 beszédet tartalmaz, amelyeket Zelenszkij személyesen válogatott be a kötetbe.
Az ukrán elnök a könyvből származó teljes bevételét – a Nagy-Britanniában eladott nyomtatott kiadás minden példánya legalább 60 penny (25 UAH) – Ukrajna támogatására fordítja. A kötet tartalmazza Arkagyij Osztrovszkij, a The Economist magazin orosz és kelet-európai szerkesztőjének előszavát is. „Ez a könyv arról szól, hogy Ukrajna hogyan találta meg a hangját és erejét. A következményeket az 1945 óta tartó legnagyobb európai háború hadszínterein láthatják” – mutatott rá Osztrovszkij.

Immár hivatalosan is Beregszászban található Ukrajna legnagyobb díszcsengő gyűjteménye december 21.-e óta. Ezen a napon érkeztek Román Sándorhoz az ukrajnai rekordokat jegyző szervezet munkatársai, akik egy nap alatt többször is átszámolva azt, 3014 különböző csengőt jegyeztek fel. Ezzel az eredménnyel felülmúlta az eddigi csúcstartót, akinek hozzávetőleg 1600 különböző csengője volt.
A gyűjteményre, amely egy New York-i alapítvány tulajdona, legfeljebb bruttó 6,1 millió dollárt (csaknem 2 milliárd forint) lehet költeni.
A híres magyar származású fotóművészről, akinek művei tavaly nagy sikerrel szerepeltek egy budapesti kiállításon, az olvasható a Magyar Közlönyben megjelent határozatban, hogy „a kormány munkásságát a magyar kulturális örökség kiemelt elemének tekinti”, ezért döntött a vásárlásról.
A gyűjtemény a Magyar Nemzeti Múzeumba kerül majd. A pénzügyminiszternek további 62 millió forintról kell gondoskodnia a hazaszállítása, a biztosítása és a közgyűjteményben való elhelyezése érdekében.
Arról is döntött a kormány, hogy Magyarország segít helyreállítani Szíriában egy középkori lovagvárat.
A Hungary Helps program keretében a magyar költségvetés 173 millió forinttal járul hozzá „az UNESCO kulturális világörökség részét képező szíriai Crac des Chevaliers keresztes lovagvár állagmegőrzési, valamint helyreállítási munkálataihoz”, mert „egyetért a keresztény közösségek megsegítésével, valamint az egyetemes keresztény és világörökség védelmével, amelynek megőrzése megerősíti identitásukban a helyi közösségeket, hozzájárulva helyben maradásukhoz”.
