Az Ombdia elemzőcég szerint az 5G-s fejlesztések terén továbbra is Dél-Korea jár az élen, Svájc pedig megelőzte Kuvaitot.
Bár a tech szektor nagyon sokat remél az 5G-től, és sokat is foglalkozik az új szabvánnyal, a hálózatok fejlesztése még mindig gyerekcipőben jár. Nem holnap jön el az önvezető autók hálózata és a távműtétek kora, de több ország is készül már az ilyen jövőre. Az Omdia elemzőcég szerint az 5G-s fejlesztések terén továbbra is Dél-Korea jár az élen, Európában pedig Svájc, amely összetettben megelőzte Kuvaitot.
Az Omdia szerint Svájc májusra 535 helyen kínált már 5G-t, a Swisscom pedig a célterületeinek 90 százalékát már le is tudta fedni. Arra ugyanakkor figyelmeztetett az elemzőcég, hogy az emberek ebből nem igazán profitálnak egyelőre, már csak azért sem, mert nagyon kevés embernek van 5G-s mobilja. Ilyen téren is Dél-Korea áll a legjobban, de ott is csak 5,88 millió eszközről van szó, ami helyi készülékek 10 százalékát teszi csak ki.
Európában a második 5G terén Nagy-Britannia, de nagy fejlődést ért el Németország és Finnország is. Az elemzők szerint a szolgáltatók nagy erőkkel bővítenék az 5G-s hálózataikat.

Feltörték a Facebook Twitter- és Instagram oldalát, s rövid ideig csak a „kalózok” üzenete volt olvasható. A Facebook-oldalakat gyorsan helyreállították.
„Igen, még a Facebook-ot is fel lehet törni, de az ő védelmük legalább jobb, mint a Twitteré” – írták a Twitter-odalt „megszálló” hackercsoport, az OurMine tagjai. Egyben felajánlották, ha a megtámadottkét cég, a Twitter és az Instagram jobb netes biztonságot akar, akkor keressék fel az OurMine oldalait.
Az OurMine nem tekinthető rosszindulatúnak, a csoport célja az, hogy felhívja a cégek figyelmét a kíberbiztonság fontosságára. Az OurMine januárban az amerikai labdarúgóbajnokságban játszó csapatok oldalait törte fel.
Az OurMine központja Dubaiban van, s a BBC szerint már a múltban is végrehajtottak néhány látványos „betörést”: rövid időre elfoglalta a Twitter-alapító Jack Dorsey, illetve a Google élén álló Sundar Pichai Twitter-oldalát is. A Twitter is elismerte, hogy rövid ideig feltörték a mikroblog egyik oldalát.
