Az Egyesült Államok szárazföldi erői és haditengerészete sikeresen teszteltek egy nem nukleáris hiperszonikus rakétát Floridában. Erről csütörtökön, december 12-én adott ki közleményt a Pentagon.
„A katonák sikeresen végeztek átfogó repülési teszteket egy nem nukleáris hiperszonikus rakétával, amelyet az Egyesült Államok Űrerőinek bázisáról, a floridai Cape Canaveralról indítottak el” – olvasható a közleményben.
A rakéta neve Common Hypersonic Glide Body (C-HGB).
A Pentagon megjegyezte, hogy ez a második sikeres teszt ebben a kategóriában 2024-ben.
A védelmi minisztérium szóvivője, Patrick Ryder elmondta, hogy az Egyesült Államok tervezi felgyorsítani az ilyen fegyverek fejlesztését és tesztelését.

Az amerikai hadsereg légierője és a DARPA közösen egy olyan speciális fegyver tervezésének látott neki, amellyel forradalmasíthatják a hadiipart.
A Hypersonic Air-breathing Weapon Concept (HAWC) névre keresztelt prototípus a hangsebesség ötszörösével képes száguldozni, miközben célpontját pillanatok alatt megsemmisítheti – olvasható a DARPA sajtóközleményében.
A szerkezet a nevét onnan kapta, hogy repülés közben az őt körülölelő levegőt hajtóanyagként tudja hasznosítani. A HAWC kifejlesztéséért felelős csapat elmondása szerint minden idők egyik legköltséghatékonyabb fegyveréről lesz szó, amivel korszerűsíthetik a jövőbeni hadszíntereket is.
Az első tesztrepülések sikerrel zárultak, a hiperszonikus rakétáról bebizonyosodott, hogy akár extrém körülmények között is megállja a helyét, ezért az elkövetkező években folytatódik a technológia további finomhangolása, és a komponensek csiszolása.
Mivel a rakéta a hangsebesség többszörösével közlekedik, ezért az ellenséges radarok gyakorlatilag képtelenek azonosítani, nem beszélve arról, hogy még ha sikerülne is detektálniuk, a nyomkövetés egyszerűen lehetetlen feladat lenne.
Az Egyesült Államok érthető okokból nem szeretne lemaradni vetélytársaihoz képest, ugyanis Oroszország, Kína és az utóbbi években előretörő Észak-Korea is már elkészítették saját hiperszonikus egységeiket.
Az orosz hadsereg a hangsebesség 27-szeresével cikázó, Avangard névre hallgató rakétával tavaly októberben hajtotta végre az első tesztrepüléseket, így az USA-nak még lesz min javítani, ha el szeretnék érni riválisuk teljesítményét.

Oroszország hétfőn bejelentette, hogy sikeres tesztet hajtott végre Zircon nevű, hadihajókról indítható hiperszonikus rakétájával – adta hírül a Világgazdaság.
Vlagyimir Putyin orosz elnök dicsérte az fegyverek új generációjához tartozó rendszert, amelyhez fogható szerinte a világon máshol még nem létezik – közölte a Reuters.
A védelmi minisztérium állítása szerint a rakétát a Fehér-tengeren állomásozó Admiral Gorskov hadihajóról lőtték ki, és a hangsebesség közel hétszeresével haladva jutott el a Barents-tenger partvidékén, 350 kilométerrel errébb található száraz földi célpontjához.
A következő években az orosz hiperszonikus rakéták jelenthetnek veszélyt az Egyesült Államok hajóira és tengeralattjáróira, amennyiben közepes hatótávolságú nukleáris fegyverzettel érkeznek Európába.
Washington határozottan állítja, hogy ez nem szerepel a tervei között, Moszkva ennek ellenére úgy véli, hogy jobb elővigyázatosságból jobb felkészülnie erre a forgatókönyvre is.
