Több mint 25 ezer aláírás gyűlt össze Volodimir Zelenszkij elnök hivatalos honlapján az azonos neműek házasságának legalizálását szorgalmazó elektronikus petíció alatt, ez elegendő ahhoz, hogy az államfő elbírálja az európai értékek meghonosítása szempontjából fontos beadványt – közölte szombaton az Ukrajinszka Pravda hírportál az elnöki internetes honlapra hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint az azonos neműek frigyre lépésének legalizálására vonatkozó felhívás 2022. június 3-án jelent meg Zelenszkij hivatalos internetes honlapján. „A mostani időben minden nap az utolsó lehet. Legyen lehetőségük az azonos neműeknek családalapításra, és legyen hivatalos okmányuk ennek igazolására. Ugyanolyan jogokra van szükségük, mint a tradicionális beállítottságú pároknak” – írták a petíció benyújtói.
A Nas Szvit LMBTQ jogvédő központ megbízásából készült felmérés szerint megkérdezetteknek mindössze a 23,6%-a támogatja az azonos neműek házasságának törvényesítését. 2016-ban még kevesebben, mindössze 4,8%-nyian egyeztek volna bele a homoházasságok legalizálásába. Jelentősen nőtt ugyanakkor az LMBTQ-embereket pozitívan megítélők (3,3%-ról 12,8%-ra) és a velük szemben közömbösek (30,7%-ról 44,8%-ra) aránya is.
A hírportál emlékeztetett arra, hogy 2022 májusában 25 ezer aláírás érkezett be annak a petíciónak a támogatására, amely 18 és 60 év közötti férfiak Ukrajnából történő kiutazására vonatkozó tilalom megszüntetését követelte. Zelenszkij ennek ellenére nem törölte el a korlátozó rendelkezést.
