Ukrajna fokozatosan ukrán nyelvűvé válik. Július 16-án lép hatályba Ukrajna „Az ukrán nyelv államnyelvként való működésének biztosításáról” szóló törvényének második és hatodik cikkelye. Ennek értelmében minden árunak az ukrán fogyasztókat kell megcélozni. Ezen kívül a web- és közösségi oldalak, a YouTube, a Viber, a Telegram – csatornák, a mobilalkalmazások és más szoftvertermékek nyelve az ukrán, amelyet alapértelmezés szerint kerül letöltésre a felhasználók számára. Az ukrán nyelvre való átállást a vállalkozásoknak kell biztosítaniuk. Az az áru, amelyek jelenleg már Ukrajna területén van, megmaradhat a korábbi formájában, de minden másnak, ami július 16-át követően jelenik meg hazánkban, ukrán felülettel kell rendelkeznie. A törvény betartását az államnyelv védelméért felelős biztos felügyeli. A felület ukrán nyelvű változatának hiánya esetében első alkalommal három és fél ezer hrivnyától hét és fél hrivnyáig terjedő pénzbírság szabható ki. A jogszabályi normák ismételt be nem tartásáért 7500-tól csaknem 12 ezer hrivnyáig terjedő pénzbírságot kell fizetnie a szabálysértőnek.
