A hadsereg létrehozásának 105. évfordulója alkalmából rendeztek katonai parádét szombaton a litván fővárosban, Vilniusban, amelyen litván katonák és NATO-szövetségesek is részt vettek.






A hírt a Jevropejszka pravda közölte az LRT-re hivatkozva.



Litvániából és a szövetséges országokból több mint 1400 katona vonult végig az Alkotmány sugárútján Vilniusban.



A felvonuláson több mint 100 egység katonai felszerelés is részt vett.



A felvonulás során Vilkas gyalogsági harcjárművek, PzH 2000 önjáró tarackok, Abrams tankok, Bradley gyalogsági harcjárművek, Paladin önjáró tarackok, Bundeswehr Leopard harckocsik, Puma és Marder gyalogsági harcjárművek, valamint egyéb katonai felszerelések haladtak át a városon.

Először ünnepelték meg szombaton Londonban a hagyományos katonai pompával a brit uralkodó, III. Károly király „hivatalos” születésnapját.






Az utóbbi hetven évben Károly néhai édesanyja, II. Erzsébet királynő tiszteletére rendezték meg minden júniusban a nagyszabású és díszes ceremóniát, ám ő tavaly szeptember 8-án, életének 97., uralkodásának 71. esztendejében elhunyt.



Halálának pillanata óta elsőszülött fia, Károly egykori trónörökös az Egyesült Királyság uralkodója, és most először fogadta ő a felvonuló díszalakulatok tisztelgését.

Ezt a katonai parádét mindig júniusban rendezik, jóllehet a valós születésnap II. Erzsébet királynő esetében április 21. volt, III. Károly pedig november 14-én ünnepli 75. születésnapját.

A Trooping the Colour – a csapatzászlók ceremoniális bemutatása a hadsereg alakulatainak – 1748 óta a mindenkori uralkodó születésnapjának ünnepsége. Azt azonban, hogy a hivatalos királyi születésnap mindig nyáron legyen, VII. Eduárd király, Viktória királynő fia honosította meg a múlt század első évtizedében.






VII. Eduárd születésnapja szintén novemberben volt, amikor a brit időjárás általában alkalmatlan bármiféle nagyszabású szabadtéri rendezvény megtartására, ezért helyezték át a júniusi időpontra a hivatalos ünnepséget. Ez a szokás azóta is megmaradt. Az elgondolás ezúttal is bevált: London népe szombaton kellemes kora nyári napsütéses időben köszönthette új uralkodóját.






A Trooping the Colour ceremóniája annak a régi katonai gyakorlatnak a stilizált felidézése, amellyel az egyes alakulatok zászlait és jelképeit, vagyis színeit (colour) rendszeresen végighordozták a katonák (troops) előtt, akik így a csata zűrzavarában is könnyen felismerhették, hogy mely színek alatt kellett szükség esetén gyülekezniük.

A király az idei parádéra régi hagyományt elevenített fel, ugyanis lóháton érkezett a Buckingham-palotából a Mall sugárúton a királyi lovastestőrség laktanyájához, amelynek parkjában csaknem másfélezer katona díszszemlével tisztelgett előtte.

II. Erzsébet királynő 1986-ig – 60 éves koráig – szintén lóháton tette meg a palota és a gárdisták laktanyája közötti egy mérföldet, a következő évben azonban 1969 óta szolgáló kedvenc lova, Burmese visszavonult az aktív szolgálattól, és azután a néhai uralkodó minden évben hintón hajtatott végig a Mall sugárúton.

Több mint négy évtizede, 1981 júniusában komoly biztonsági incidens zavarta meg a ceremóniát: a lóháton érkező királynőre egy fiatal férfi a tömegből hat lövést adott le, de a fegyverben vaktöltények voltak. A Marcus Sarjeant nevű lövöldözőt annak idején öt év börtönre ítélték, de három év letöltése után szabadult. III. Károly szombaton rendezett első hivatalos születésnapi ünnepsége zavartalanul lezajlott.

Az uralkodó – akit május 6-án koronáztak meg a londoni Westminster-apátságban – a szombati születésnapi ünnepség végén, a Buckingham-palota teraszán, családtagjai társaságában üdvözölte a tiszteletére összegyűlt több tízezres tömeget, majd megtekintette a ceremóniát záró nagyszabású légiparádét, amelyet a légierő, a haditengerészet és a hadsereg hetven repülőgépe és helikoptere mutatott be, kötelékekben átrepülve a palota felett.

A parádét a stratégiai kontextus jellemzi. Az elképzelés az, hogy kiemeljük a szövetségeseinkkel való stratégiai szolidaritást – mondta Emmanuel Macron hivatalának egyik tisztviselője.



Csaknem öt hónappal azután, hogy Oroszország lerohanta Ukrajnát, a Champs-Elysées-én megrendezett parádét kilenc szövetséges vendégország – többségük Ukrajna vagy Oroszország szomszédja – nemzeti zászlóinak bemutatásával nyitják meg: Észtország, Lettország, Litvánia, Lengyelország, Csehország, Szlovákia, Magyarország, Románia és Bulgária. Ezt követően a NATO keleti szárnyán állomásozó francia kontingenst képviselő csapatok következnek – írja az Al Jazeera.
