Nariman Dzselal, Ukrajna törökországi nagykövete cáfolta egy török kiadványban megjelent információt Recep Tayyip Erdogan elnök állítólagos tervezett ukrajnai látogatásáról. Jelenleg nincsenek megerősített információk egy ilyen látogatásról az elkövetkezendő napokban. A diplomata ezt az Ukrajinszka Pravdának adott kommentárjában nyilatkozta.
Elmondása szerint a kiadvány cikke nem felel meg az igazságnak, és a média „elferdítette” szavait.
„A török kiadvány, enyhén szólva is, eltorzította az információkat. Figyeljék meg – nem adnak meg linket annak kapcsán, hogy hol mondtam ezt, nem idéznek engem, egyszerűen azt írják, hogy én állítottam ezt” – jegyezte meg Dzselal.
A nagykövet hangsúlyozta, hogy mind ő személyesen, mind Ukrajna törökországi nagykövetsége továbbra is Erdogan látogatásának megszervezésén dolgozik Volodimir Zelenszkij elnök meghívására. Elmondása szerint augusztus 4-én egy személyes találkozó során ismét átadta ezt a meghívást a török kereskedelmi miniszternek. A nagykövet ugyanakkor megjegyezte, hogy jelenleg nincsenek megerősített információk arról, hogy a látogatásra a közeljövőben sor kerülhetne.

A szentszéki államtitkárságot vezető Pietro Parolin bíboros kedden látogatást tett a rakétatalálatot kapott Ohmatdit kijevi gyermekkórházban – adta hírül az MTI.
Parolin bíboros a megrongálódott kórházban fiatal páciensekkel és az orvosi személyzet tagjaival is beszélt a Kathpress katolikus hírügynökség szerint, amely a Vatican News hírportált idézte. Parolin bíboros egyben meglátogatta Ukrajna legnagyobb gyermekkórháza dialízisközpontjának romjait is. Az intézményt a kijevi vezetés állítása szerint orosz rakétatalálat érte. A nemzetközi felháborodást keltő támadás során egy orvosnő és egy másik felnőtt életét vesztette.
Úgy vélem, mindannyian értjük, hogy mielőbb véget kell vetni a háborúnak – hangoztatta Volodimir Zelenszkij elnök Parolin bíborossal megtartott találkozóján. Egyben erős jelzésnek nevezte a Vatikán részéről Parolin bíboros látogatását.
Zelenszkij az X-en arról írt, hogy a szentszéki államtitkárral „megvitatták az Ukrajna elleni orosz agresszió következményeit, a folyamatban lévő légi terrorizmust, a bonyolult humanitárius helyzetet, valamint a Ferenc pápával júniusban megtartott olaszországi találkozó eredményeit is”.
Mint írta, a mostani megbeszélések a svájci békecsúcson született döntésekre, és a Vatikán igazságos és tartós béke megteremtésében játszott szerepére összpontosítottak.

Andrij Juras, Ukrajna Szentszéknél akkreditált nagykövete pénteken az olasz televízióban kijelentette: véleménye szerint Ferenc pápa hamarosan látogatást tesz Kijevbe.
„Hiszem, hogy erre a látogatásra hamarosan sor kerülhet. Újra meg újra megismételjük a meghívást. Legutóbbi nyilatkozatunkban is ismét kifejeztük azon vágyunkat, hogy hazánkban találkozhassunk a Szentatyával” – mondta Juras a Sky TG24 olasz hírcsatornának nyilatkozva, hozzátéve; „tudomásunk szerint a pápa előbb-utóbb bejelenti, hogy kész a látogatásra, ami Ukrajna számára rendkívül fontos lenne”.
A nagykövet kifejtette, hogy Pietro Parolin bíboros, a vatikáni államtitkárság vezetője (a szentszéki kormányzat feje) is az utazás megszervezése mellett áll. Juras szerint az Ukrajna ellen két éve folyó háború alatt „mindig érezték a pápa közelségét”, és „a Szentatyának mindig van alkalma arra, hogy kifejezze támogatását”, például az általános audienciák során.
Ferenc pápa több nyilatkozatában is hangsúlyozta, hogy kész elmenni Kijevbe, amennyiben Moszkvába is ellátogathat.
Andrij Juras pénteken hangoztatta azt is, hogy a Vatikán által nyújtott humanitárius támogatás rendkívül fontos, és a Szentszék továbbra is sokat tesz azért, hogy az Oroszországba és Fehéroroszországba átszállított közel százezer ukrán gyerek hazaköltözhessen.
Emlékeztetett arra, hogy a pápa Matteo Zuppi bíborost jelölte ki az ukrajnai konfliktus kezelésének, különösen a gyerekek hazaszállításának felelősévé, és hangsúlyozta; a bíboros „komoly erőfeszítéseket is tesz ennek érdekében”.
„Úgy gondolom, hogy a Szentszék fellépése nem korlátozódik csupán a békére felszólító nyilatkozatokra, hanem konkrét cselekedeteket is tesz” – tette hozzá a nagykövet.
A pápa megbízottja tavaly Moszkvába, Kijevbe, Washingtonba és Pekingbe is ellátogatott közvetítőként, mindenekelőtt humanitárius célok és az ukrán gyerekek hazaszállítása érdekében, de eddig nem járt látványos sikerrel.
