Részletek: Július 28-án Ukrajna elnöke aláírta a 295/2020. számú, „A Kínai Népköztársaság turisztikai célból Ukrajnába beutazó állampolgárai számára az ideiglenes vízummentesség bevezetéséről” szóló törvényt. A vízummentesség hat hónapig érvényes: 2020. augusztus 1-jétől 2021. január 31-ig.
Előzmények: Júniusban Zelenszkij kijelentette, hogy utasítani fogja a Külügyminisztériumot, hogy fontolja meg a vízumliberalizációt Kína, Ausztrália, Új-Zéland vagy arab országok állampolgárai számára, akik turistaként érkeznek Ukrajnába.
