 A jelentés szerint az elnök az ABC News amerikai tévécsatornának nyilatkozva elmondta: „tudom, hogy az oroszok azt szeretnék, ha a reaktorokat lekapcsolhatnák az ukrán hálózatról, és csatlakoztatnák az orosz hálózathoz. Nem, mi nem értünk egyet ezekkel a kijelentésekkel.”
 Ugyanakkor az államfő megjegyezte, hogy az orosz csapatok elfoglalták Európa legnagyobb atomerőművét, amelynek hat reaktora van. „Ez hat Csernobilt jelent, ez jelenti a legnagyobb veszélyt Európára, ez egy atomfegyver” – mutatott rá.
 „Nem lehetnek ott katonák. Nem lehetnek katonai felszerelések a területen. És nem lehet az atomerőműben úgy dolgozni, hogy a munkatársakat fegyveres emberek veszik körül” – hangsúlyozta Volodimir Zelenszkij.
 Mint hírportálunk tegnap beszámolt róla, Denisz Smihal miniszterelnök vasárnap az Olaf Scholz német kancellárral tartott berlini találkozóján azt javasolta, hogy az Európai Uniónak és ENSZ-nek egy különleges missziót kell küldeni a Zaporizzsjai Atomerőműbe a létesítmény demilitarizálására. A miniszterelnök jelezte, hogy a tárgyaláson szó esett Ukrajna védelmi képességeinek a megerősítéséről és további átfogó támogatásáról. „Európa energiabiztonsága napirenden van. Javasoltam az EU és az ENSZ különleges missziójának küldését a Zaporizzsjai Atomerőműbe. Megbizonyosodtam arról, hogy Németország megbízható és következetes partnere Ukrajnának.”
