Nem működik a Facebook, az Instagram és a Messenger, de még a WhatsApp üzenetküldő szolgáltatás sem.
A DailyMail információi szerint magyar idő szerint néhány perccel 18 óra előtt állt le az összes szolgáltatás, szerverhibára hivatkozva. A Facebook, a Messenger, az Instagram és a WhatsApp is a Facebook tulajdonában van, megosztott infrastruktúrán működtetik őket, így egy esetleges szerverhiba mindre kihat.
A Facebooknak ritkán vannak hasonló kihagyásai, a Mark Zuckerberg vezette cég ráadásul szinte sosem árulja el az okát. Legutóbb 2019-ben álltak le a Facebook szolgáltatásai több mint egy órára, akkor egy rutinellenőrzés számlájára írták.
Most se történt másként. Andy Stones, a Facebook kommunikációs munkatársa Twitter-bejegyzésben azt írta, hogy tudnak a problémáról, ami „néhány embernél fellépett”, és már dolgoznak azon, hogy minél előbb visszaálljon a rendszer:
