Andrij Juszov, a Hírszerzési Főigazgatóság képviselője arról beszélt a telemaraton adásában, hogy egyre több orosz katona akarja megadni magát az ukrán védelmi erőknek. Az „Élni akarok” projekt keretein belül is nőtt a hadifoglyok száma.
„Csak ennek a projektnek a keretében több mint 300 orosz megszálló adta meg magát az ukrán erőknek” – mondta Juszov.
A Hírszerzési Főigazgatóság szóvivője elmondása szerint a hadifoglyok egy része azonnal azt kérte, hogy ne kerüljenek be a fogolycsere folyamatába. Egy másik részük csatlakozott az ukrán védelmi erőkhöz.

Az „Élni akarok” projekt forródrótjára több mint kétezer hívás érkezett orosz katonáktól, akik meg akarják adni magukat – közölte Andrij Juszov, az ukrán védelmi minisztérium hírszerzési főigazgatóságának képviselője a Szabadság csatornán.
Elmondta azt is, hogy olyanok is jelentkeznek, akiket még nem küldtek a frontra, de szeretnék tudni előre, mit kell tenniük, ha megadásra szánnák el magukat. Juszov megjegyezte: az „Élni akarok” ukrajnai állami projekt lehetővé teszi az oroszok számára, hogy elkerüljék a harcot, és megmentsék életüket. Felvilágosítást adott arról az algoritmusról is, melynek segítségével az orosz katonák megadhatják magukat az ukrán fegyveres erőknek.
Erre ad lehetőséget több forródrótos telefonvonal, Telegram-csatorna, chatbot és weboldal is. Aki beírja a keresőbe, minden információt megtalál a projektről. A megadást fehér zászlóval, eldobott fegyverrel vagy felemelt kezekkel lehet demonstrálni.
Juszov hozzátette: Ukrajna betartja a genfi egyezményeket, a foglyoknak szállást és élelmet is biztosítanak.

Volodimir Zelenszkij ukrán elnök szombat esti beszédében három dolgot ígért az orosz katonáknak, ha megadják magukat:
civilizált bánásmódot, a nemzetközi egyezményeknek megfelelően;
azt, hogy senkinek nem beszélnek a megadás körülményeiről, tehát arról sem, ha „szándékosan”, ki nem kényszerített módon adják meg magukat (ezért ugyanis egy szombaton aláírt rendelet szerint 10 év börtönbüntetést járna);
és azt, hogy ha nem akarnak visszatérni utána Oroszországba egy fogolycsere által, akkor nem kötelezik őket erre.
Az ukrán elnök mindeközben – az orosz katonáknak üzenve – hangsúlyozta, hogy a parancsnokaik nem foglalkoznak az életükkel. „Tehát ez egy kulcsfontosságú pillanat önöknek, most dől el, hogy véget ér-e az életük. Jobb kibújni a behívólevél alól, mint idegen földön, háborús bűnösként meghalni” – fogalmazott Zelenszkij, majd azt is hozzátette: Jobb, ha megadják magukat és ukrán hadifogságba esnek, mint ha a fegyvereink végeznek önökkel.
