Egy év szünet után 2023. március 30-tól április 5-ig a fővárosi Zsovteny moziban rendezik meg az Osztrák Filmhét fesztivált. Erről az Arthouse Traffic filmcég sajtószolgálata számolt be.
2022-ben az orosz invázió miatt nem került sor a fesztiválra, idén azonban a szervezők úgy döntöttek, mégis megrendezik.
A szervezők tájékoztatása szerint a program az elmúlt évek legikonikusabb osztrák premierjeit tartalmazza majd.
A fesztivált a kijevi Osztrák Kulturális Fórum és a lembergi Osztrák Együttműködési Iroda, valamint az Arthouse Traffic filmtársaság szervezi.

A Kill Bill és a Volt egyszer egy Hollywood rendezője egy podcastban beszélt a moziba járás jövőjéről. Úgy vélekedett, hogy néhány mozilánc, amelynek a koronavírus-járvány miatt be kellett zárnia, „meg is érdemelte”.

A Tom és Jerry című egészestés animációs film vette át a kasszasikerlista vezetését a hétvégén Észak-Amerikában.
A Warner Bros. animációs családi filmjére, amely azt mutatja be, hogy a két főhős hogyan találkozott egymással, és hogy lettek riválisok, a mozis közönség 13,7 millió dollárért váltott jegyet péntektől vasárnapig, ami a pandémia alatti időszak egyik legjobb debütálásai közé tartozik.
A stúdió Wonder Woman 1984 című szuperhősfilmje decemberben 16,7 millió dolláros premierhétvégét zárt. Az elmúlt tíz hónapban bemutatott filmek közül csak a Croodék: Egy új kor és a Tenet című sci-fi akciófilm tudta megközelíteni a tízmillió dolláros premierhétvégi jegybevételt.

A variety.com cikke szerint a 79 millió dolláros költségvetésből készült animációs filmre az Amerikán kívüli piacokon 25 millió dollárért vettek jegyet a nézők, így globálisan máris elérte a 38,8 millió dolláros jegyeladást.
Az elemzők szerint olyan körülmények között, hogy a mozik fele még zárva tart a koronavírus-járvány miatt, és az érdeklődők a produkciót akár otthon is megnézhetik, ez nagyon biztató kezdet, egyúttal jó üzenet az ágazat számára. További jó hír, hogy Andrew Cuomo New York-i kormányzó március 5-től öt New York-i körzetben engedélyezte a mozik korlátozott kapacitással történő újranyitását. A metropolisban már csaknem egy éve zárva vannak a filmszínházak a pandémia miatt.
A hétvégi kasszasikerlistán a Croodék: Egy új kor 1,2 millió dolláros jegyeladással lett a második. A produkcióra bemutatása óta Észak-Amerikában 52 millió dollárért vettek jegyet a nézők, globális bevétele a Box Office Mojo szerint átlépte a 156 millió dollárt.
A harmadik helyen az Ördög a részletekben című film végzett a hétvégén 925 ezer dolláros amerikai bevétellel. A Wonder Woman 1984 című film 710 ezer dollárral a negyedik, Liam Neeson The Marksman című akciófilmje pedig 700 ezer dollár jegybevétellel az ötödik lett a listán.

Számtalan olyan művészfilm akad, amelyek megtekintése lenyűgöző hatással van a nézőkre. Megkérdeztünk néhány kárpátaljai filmkedvelőt ezzel kapcsolatos élményeiket.
Először fordult elő, hogy Kína megelőzte Észak-Amerikát a mozis piacok versenyében, noha tavaly egyetlen országot sem kímélt meg a világjárvány miatti globális válság.
A The Hollywood Reporter beszámolója szerint a világ jegyárbevétele valószínűleg több mint 72 százalékkal esett vissza 2020-ban, Kínáé 70, Észak-Amerikáé 80 százalékkal. A Comscore iparági elemzőcég becslése alapján az észak-amerikai mozis jegyárbevétel 40 éve nem volt olyan alacsony, mint tavaly: 2020. január 1. és december 31. között 2,3 milliárd dollárra esett vissza a 2019-es 11,4 milliárdról. A drámai zuhanás várható volt, mivel az Egyesült Államok sok filmszínháza már több mint kilenc hónapja zárva tart. Ezt Olekszandr Tkacsenko, kulturális és információs politikai miniszter jelentette be. „Találkoztunk a filmipar és az illetékes képviselőkkel, megvitattunk az egészségügyi miniszterrel. Az általános vélemény – a mozik fokozatos megnyitása csak július 2-án kezdődhet meg” – mondta a miniszter. Hozzátette, hogy a mozik biztonságos működéséhez a járvány idején a mozitermek 30%-os kihasználtsága gazdasági szempontból nem jövedelmező, mivel nem fogják tudni kifizetni a személyzet bérét. Ezen felül, a világjárvány miatt a világ és az ukrán filmipar premierjeinek időpontjait elhalasztották, tehát a közeljövőben kasszasikerekre nem lehet számítani.
