Ukrajnából érkező szülők kérésére a Nemzetközi Ukrán Iskola fiókjait nyitják meg Litvániában – Kaunasban és Šiauliaiban. Az oktatás ötnapos lesz, számolt be az LRT.
„A vilniusi és klaipédai ötnapos iskoláink jól működnek, Litvánia már városaiból rendszeresen kaptunk felkéréseket ukrán szülőktől a Nemzetközi Ukrán Iskola újabb fiókjainak megnyitására. És Európa legnagyobb ukrán iskolája, amely állami bizonyítványt ad, és az ukrán oktatási minisztérium által jóváhagyott programok szerint oktat. És ez a mi iskolánk is” – mondta Olena Vnukovszka, a Nemzetközi Ukrán Iskola igazgatója.
Hozzátette, hogy a regisztráció első három napjában több mint 450 ukrán gyermek jelentkezett a két városban.
Vilnius és Klaipéda ukrán iskoláiban több mint 1300 ukrán gyermek tanul.
Meg kell jegyezni, hogy a Nemzetközi Ukrán Iskola kétnyelvű oktatási intézmény, ahol az ukrán és az angol mellett nagy figyelmet fordítanak a litván nyelv elsajátítására. Ehhez új speciális programokat dolgoztak ki az oktatási intézményben.
