A római Bologna téren üzembe helyezték Olaszország első pizzaautomatáját, ami három perc alatt a vásárló szeme láttára készít el egy kis pizzát.
Az éhes járókelőket éjjel-nappal kiszolgáló automata, a Mr. Go Pizza ötlete egy nemzetközi startup vállalkozástól származik, amely Let’s Pizza néven szabadalmaztatta a technológiát.
Az automatánál négyféle pizza közül lehet választani 4,50 és 6 euró, az az 1600 és 2150 forint közötti áron. A vásárló egy üvegablakon át figyelheti, amint az automata elkészíti a pizza alapanyagát, a tésztát, paradicsomszósszal és a kívánt feltétekkel megrakja, majd megsüti.
Az első reagálások az újdonságra nem mondhatók lelkesnek, a „megteszi, ha az ember siet”-től az elborzadásig terjednek. Sokan túl kicsinek találják az adagot és keveslik a rajta lévő feltétet is.
A pizzaautomata valójában szentségtörésnek számítana Olaszországban, a legalább 130 éves múltra visszatekintő hagyományt féltve őrző nápolyi pizzasütőket mégsem igazán zavarja az automatizálás, szerintük Olaszországban egyszerűen nincs jövője az automatában sült pizzának.
