Ukrajna azt kérte az Elon Musk tulajdonolta SpaceX űrvállalattól, hogy akadályozzák meg a Starlink-terminálok orosz használatát a megszállt ukrán területeken – írja a Reuters.
Elon Musk, a SpaceX űrvállalat tulajdonosa a háború kirobbanása után Ukrajna rendelkezésére állította a Starlink műholdas rendszert. Tavaly a Pentagon szerződést kötött a SpaceX-szel, hogy ők finanszírozzák tovább a Starlink használatát Ukrajnában. Az ukrán kormány szerint tavaly mintegy 42 ezer terminált használtak az ukrán fegyveres erők, kórházak, vállalkozások és segélyszervezetek.
Az ukrán hírszerzés már napokkal ezelőtt közzétette, hogy az orosz erők is Starlink-terminálokat kezdtek használni, amelyeket harmadik országokból szereztek be.
Orosz katonák egy lehallgatott beszélgetése alapján az orosz haderő „arab országokból” jutott a rendszerekhez.
Mind a Kreml, mind Elon Musk tagadta, hogy Oroszország használná a Starlink-rendszert, amely ott nincs is tanúsítva.
Kirilo Budanov, az ukrán katonai hírszerzés vezetője a múlt héten úgy nyilatkozott, rendszerszintűvé és tömegessé vált a Starlink-terminálok használata az orosz csapatoknál, amelyek orosz közvetítő cégeken keresztül szerzik be ezeket harmadik országoktól.
