Elmondása szerint az állatot a Bajka üdülőkomplexumban tartották egy szűk ketrecben, s az állami ökológiai bizottság lefoglalta.
A medve április 12-én érkezett a központba, ahol jól érzi magát. Az állatot erősen túletették, 500–600 kilogramm, nehezen mozog, az általános egészségügyi állapota azonban kielégítő. Az utazást jól bírta, jelenleg karanténba helyezték egy hónapra.

— Manya Koetse (@manyapan) May 8, 2022A Szinevér nemzeti park hozzákezdett egy információs központ megépítéséhez a huszti járási Égermezőn.
A település kedvező feltételekkel rendelkezik a turizmushoz, festői a természet, s a közelben egyedülálló bükkerdők is találhatók. Az új létesítmény célja a turizmus népszerűsítése lesz a Szinevér nemzeti park területén, továbbá szeretnének átfogó tájékoztatást adni a turisták számára a régió rekreációs infrastruktúrájáról és lehetőségeiről. A helyi lakosok és a környezetvédők abban reménykednek, hogy jövőre felújításra kerül a Szinevér–Alsókalocsa–Bustyaháza útszakasz is, amely további lendületet ad a turizmus fejlődésének.
A központ a lehető legtöbb turista idevonzása érdekében terjeszt majd információkat a régióról, s gondoskodni fog a megyénk kedvező turisztikai arculatának kialakításáról is.
A nemzeti park jelenleg Szinevéren és Felsőkalocsán rendelkezik hasonló jellegű központokkal.
