 Ursula Von der Leyen, az Európai Bizottság elnöke, valamint Volodimir Zelenszkij, Ukrajna első embere is díjat vehetett át – utóbbi virtuálisan – az 1978-ban alapított Business and Finance Awardson. A dublini eseményen Von der Leyen az Európai Unió nevében köszönte meg a Sutherland Leadership Awardot, míg az ukrán politikust TK Whitaker-díjjal jutalmazták a „közélethez való kiemelkedő hozzájárulásért”.
  
   „Ha áttekintjük Írország történetét az Európai Unióban, különösen most, amikor háború dúl a kontinensen, akkor reményt adhat nekünk. Reményt a megbékélés és a béke történetére, amit Írország népe írt” – mondta Von der Leyen, aki szerint az EU büszke lehet arra, hogy Írország a család tagja.
 
 Zelenszkij videóüzenetében arról beszélt, az ukránok Írország uniós történetéből meríthetnek erőt és ihletet, és kijelentette, ahogyan az írek hamarosan megünnepelhetik 50 éves EU-tagságukat, úgy Ukrajnának is az az álma, hogy hosszú távon az unió részévé válhasson.
 Arra kérem önöket, hogy támogassák Ukrajnát ezen az úton – mondta a körülbelül ezer üzleti, politikai, társadalmi vezetőnek. Hozzátette, hálás Írországnak a támogatásért a szabadságért és függetlenségért vívott harcukban, és biztos benne, hogy együtt megnyerik ezt a csatát.
