Korábban nem tapasztalt rendőri védelem mellett kezdődött el az évente tartott LMBTQ-parádé vasárnap 11:00 órakor Kijevben, a nacionalisták is összegyűltek a Sevcsenko-parkban az ellentüntetésre – adta hírül a strana.news hírportál.
A helyszíni tudósítás szerint a vonuló melegeket végig erősen zárt rendőrkordon veszi majd körül. Mint a hírportál megjegyezte, Ukrajnában egyetlen rendezvényt sem védenek olyan nagy rendőri erőkkel, mint az LMBTO-parádét. A vonulásra mindössze négy ponton lehetett bejutni szigorú szűrés után. A melegek ezért már másfél órával az indulás előtt gyülekezni kezdtek. Megjelent a vonuláson Viktor Pilipenko, a legismertebb ATO-s LMBTQ-veterán is, aki a Donbassz önkéntes zászlóaljban harcolt a szeparatisták ellen. Náluk fél órával korábban kezdtek összegyűlni az ellentüntető nacionalisták a Sevcsenko-parkban.
A mostani melegdemonstráció fő követelése az 5488. sz. törvénytervezet elfogadása. Megszavazása után a jogszabály erősen megnöveli a felelősséget a melegek diszkriminációért. A tervezetet a kormány még májusban beterjesztette a Legfelső Tanácsba, és röviddel az LMBTQ-vonulás előtt napirendre is tűzték a tárgyalását, amit hamarosan megtartanak.
