Július 24-ig az ukrán hatóságok ellenőrzése alatt áll a Donyecki régió területének 32,8%-a.
Ezt Vadim Filaskin, a Donyecki Megyei Állami Adminisztráció (OVA) vezetője nyilatkozta az Ukrinformnak adott interjúban.
Elmondása szerint a régió teljes területe 26,5 ezer négyzetkilométer, amelyből ideiglenesen elfoglalt terület 17 804 négyzetkilométer, vagyis 67,2%. A 1298 településből 847 van megszállás alatt, köztük 447 már 2014 óta. Jelenleg 42 települést szabadítottak fel.
A régió vezetője hangsúlyozta, hogy az orosz csapatok naponta körülbelül 3000 csapást mérnek Donyeck területére. Az aktív harci zónában 18 kistérség található, ahol körülbelül 23 ezer ember él, ebből több mint 110 gyermek.
Filaskin felszólította a lakosokat, hogy meneküljenek el a veszélyes területekről.

Az ukrán államvasút, az Ukrzaliznica arról biztosított, hogy a kijevi központi pályaudvar továbbra is Ukrajna ellenőrzése alatt van – adta hírül az Ukrajinszka Pravda hírportál az Ukrzaliznica Telegram-közlésére hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint a vasútvállalat azt közölte: „az infrastrukturális létesítményen a Nemzeti Rendőrség munkatársai teljesítenek szolgálatot. Az utasok őrizzék meg a nyugalmukat.”
Korábban a közösségi médiában elterjedt a hír, hogy már a központi pályaudvar környékén vannak az orosz diverzánsok, és pánik tört ki a Kijevet elhagyni akaró tömegben.
