 Az államfő bejegyzésében emlékeztette olvasóit, hogy Franciaországban mindenki együttérzéssel volt a Vuhanból evakuált franciák iránt abban a városban, ahol elhelyezték őket. Példaként említette, hogy amikor a Kínából hazafelé tartó ukrán gép leszállt utántankolásra Kazahsztánban, és kiszállt a Vuhanból evakuált kazah utas, senki nem tiltakozott, hanem mindenki hálálkodott a segítségért. „Sajnos nem mindannyian tudunk hasonló emberi reagálással büszkélkedni” – mutatott rá.
 Zelenszkij kiemelte: „az útlezárások, kórházak blokádja, tiltakozás az ukrán állampolgárok Ukrajnába történő beengedés ellen – ezzel mi a jellemünk messze nem legjobb oldalát mutatjuk. Különösen, ha figyelembe vesszük, hogy az utasok többsége 30 évnél fiatalabb, sokunk számára szinte még gyerek.”
