Lengyelország pótlólagos európai uniós forrásokat kért az országot Ukrajnából elárasztó több millió menekült elhelyezésének finanszírozásához – jelentette be Mateusz Morawiecki miniszterelnök a Bild című német bulvárlapban csütörtökön közzétett nyilatkozatában.
Elmondta, hogy Varsó sebesült ukrán katonákat is ápol, és megnyitotta „kapuit és szívét” 2,5 millió menekült előtt. Lengyelországnak pénzre van szüksége, hogy ezt az erőfeszítést finanszírozza, de az EU eddig „egy fillért sem fizetett” a menekültek ellátására – tette hozzá.
A kormányfő azzal érvelt, hogy Törökországot a legutóbbi menekülthullám idején milliárdokkal támogatták. Most Lengyelország érdemel uniós segítséget – szögezte le.
Európa orosz gáztól való függőségének kérdésével kapcsolatban Morawiecki megjegyezte, hogy Varsó többször is figyelmeztette Berlint az Oroszországból érkező gázvezeték kockázatára. De ezek a figyelmeztetések süket fülekre találtak – mondta.
Hangoztatta, hogy a lengyeleknek soha nem voltak illúzióik a Kreml politikájával és annak következményeivel kapcsolatban.
