Az ukrán űrügynökség a 2000-es évek elején egy meglepő üzenet küldött az űrbe, amely 2029-re érkezhet meg a célponthoz – írta nemrég megjelent cikkében az IFL Science tudományos portál.
Az ukrán űrügynökség még 2008-ban indította el a Gliese 581c nevű, potenciálisan lakhatónak vélt bolygónak küldött üzenetét, amely a Földtől 21 fényévnyire található Gliese 581 csillag körül kering.
Az üzenet 2029-ben érkezik meg, és ha esetleg élnek ott űrlények, akik veszik azt és válaszolnak, az 2050-ben érkezhet vissza a Földre – írta az IFL Science.
A 2007-ben felfedezett Gliese 581c a második bolygó volt, amelyet a rendszerben azonosítottak. A rendszer központjában lévő csillag, a Gliese 581 egy vörös törpe, a legkisebb hidrogénégető csillagtípus a kozmoszban. Bár ezeknek a csillagoknak sokkal kisebb tömegük van, mint a Napnak, és sokkal kevesebb energiát termelnek a körülöttük keringő bolygók számára, mégis azok közé az égitestek közé tartoznak, amelyek körül esetleg kialakulhatott élet az univerzumban.
A Gliese 581c a maga tömegével – amely 5,5-szerese a Földének – a „szuperföldnek” nevezett bolygók egyik osztályába tartozik. A tudósok érdeklődését azért keltette fel ez a bolygó, és egy másik égitest a rendszerben (a Gliese 581d), mert a vörös törpétől mért távolságot nézve a lakhatósági zóna közelében helyezkednek el, bár valójában már azon kívül található meg mindkét égitest. Ezzel együtt a nemrég megjelent tanulmányok nem zárták ki azt, hogy a Gliese 581 rendszerében lévő bolygók lakhatók lehetnek.
2008-ban a Gliese 581c-t szemelték ki arra, hogy ha esetleg van ott élet, akkor üzennek a földönkívülieknek.
Az ukrán állami űrügynökség 2008. október 9-én küldte el az üzenetet, amelyet egy azóta megszűnt online közösségi oldalnak, a Bebo felhasználóinak javaslataiból állított össze egy szavazás után.
A kiküldött rádiójelek közt – amelyben 501 különböző szöveg és fotó szerepelt végül, bináris formátumba konvertálva – olyan híres közéleti szereplők is helyet kaptak, mint például Hillary Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, Cheryl Cole énekesnő vagy egy brit reggeli tévéműsor vezetői, Richard és Judy. De írtak az üzenetek közt a világbékéről és az élet értelméről is. Az időkapszula elküldésének értelme lényegében az volt, hogy ezzel jelezni lehet az esetleg ott élő földönkívülieknek, hogy értelmes életformák léteznek a Földön is (utóbb egyébként egy hasonló üzenet ment a rendszer másik bolygójára, a Gliese 581d-re is, amely 2030-ban érkezhet meg).
Feltételezve, hogy az idegenek léteznek, és elég fejlettek hozzá, legkorábban 2050-ben számíthatunk válaszra az 581c-ről.

„Ebben az országban történelmi jelentőségű, rendkívül erőteljes és egyhangú tiltakozás zajlott a nyugdíjreform ellen. Ezt a tiltakozást döbbenetes módon megtagadták és elfojtották” – többek között erről beszélt Justine Triet.
Az Arany Pálma díj átvételekor közéleti, politikai témákról nem szoktak beszélni: a díj nyertese ilyenkor megköszöni alkotótársainak a közreműködést. Ezt tette Justine Triet is, miután az őáltala rendezett, Anatomie d’une chute (Egy zuhanás anatómiája) című filmjének ítélte az Arany Pálmát szombat este a 76. Cannes-i Nemzetközi Filmfesztiválon a Ruben Östlund svéd rendező által vezetett nemzetközi zsűri.
A kultúrát félti
A rendezőnő köszönetet mondott filmje legismertebb sztárjának, Sandra Hullernek, amiért megengedte neki, hogy „belakja a testét és az elméjét”, valamint forgatókönyvírójának, Arthur Harari rendezőnek – idézi a Le Figaro.
Ezután kezdett, egy váratlan fordulattal, a nyugdíjreformról beszélni, kiemelve, hogy a tüntetések elfojtása során érvényesülő, „és egyre gátlástalanabbá váló uralomra törés mintája több területre is átüt”, a rendező szerint „ez alól a mozi sem kivétel.
A kultúra elüzletiesedése, amelyet ez a neoliberális kormány védelmez, a kivételes francia kultúra szétzúzása felé tart” –figyelmeztetett.
Rima Abdul Malak kulturális miniszter az eset után közzétett Twitter-bejegyzésében kijelentette: megdöbbentette a rendező beszéde, melyet igazságtalannak tart, hiszen a francia filmek támogatásban részesülnek, „ami a világon egyedülálló sokszínűséget eredményez”.

Ausztrál csillagászok egy egyelőre semmihez nem fogható rádiójelet fogtak be. 60 millió fényévnyiről jött az űrből.
Bár még sok dolog nem tisztázott, úgy tűnik, egy igen különös rádiójelet sikerült beazonosítaniuk ausztrál kutatóknak; a jel az eddigi információk alapján egy másik galaxisból érkezhetett – olvasható a Phys.org-on megjelent bejegyzésben.
A Nyugat-Sydney-i Egyetem csillagásza, Joel Balzan azt közölte: a rádiójelet (teljes nevén a J054149.24–641813.7-et) az NGC 2082 spirálgalaxis vizsgálatakor fogták be.
Az NGC 2082 mintegy 60 millió fényévnyire van a Földtől.
Bizonyos objektumok általában nagy mennyiségben bocsátanak ki rádióhullámokat, és korábban több alkalommal észleltek már ilyeneket. A kutatók szerint rádióhullámokat bocsáthatnak ki a pulzárok, azaz a gyorsan forgó neutroncsillagok, a csillagködök (nebulák), de a kvazárok is.
A szóban forgó objektumot az Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder (ASKAP), az Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA) és a Parkes nevű eszközökkel vizsgálták.
Az első elemzések arra utalnak, hogy a rádióforrás nem egy pulzár vagy szupernóva-maradvány lesz, az eredete inkább termikus. A legvalószínűbb lehetőség, hogy a J054149.24-641813.7 egy extragalaktikus háttérforrás, rádiógalaxis vagy aktív galaxismag. De biztosat csak később tudnak mondani.

A II. világháborúban meghalt katonák emlékére mondott beszédében Volodimir Zelenszkij ukrán elnök kihangsúlyozta:
„Egyetlen gonoszt sem kerül el a felelősség, nem tud elbújni az óvóhelyen.” – számolt be az UNIAN hírügynökség.
Az ukrán államfő hozzátette: „mindannyian tisztelik azokat az embereket, akik megvédték hazájukat és a világot a nácizmustól”. Szerinte a katonák azért haltak meg a II. világháborúban, hogy soha többé ne ismétlődjenek meg a borzalmak, azonban ez másként történt, ami mindannyijukkal szemben igazságtalan.„Újra béke lesz. A NASA-nak létezik egy terve arra vonatkozóan, hogy egy újabb, de aktuálisabb üzenetet sugározzon a világűrbe. Az üzenetet idegen civilizációknak szánnák (feltéve, hogy léteznek ilyenek), illetve, hogy jelezzék: egy bolygón olyan élet alakult ki, amelyhez fogható talán nincs is máshol. Ezt a célt testesítette meg az 1974-es Arecibo-üzenet is.
A tudósok most azonban egy frissebb változatban is gondolkodnak – írta meg a The Telegraph. A cél az, hogy alapvető matematikai modelleket, és fizikai fogalmakat juttassanak el más bolygókra, illetve azok lakóihoz – megint csak feltételezve, hogy más planétákon is kialakult a miénkhez hasonló, értelmes élet. Az üzenetet pedig fogadni is tudják.
A „csomagban” a Naprendszerre vonatkozó adatok, illetve a Föld helyzete is megtalálható lenne, ez azonban oxfordi kutatók szerint a létező legrosszabb ötlet. Anders Sandberg, az Oxfordi Egyetemhez tartozó, az emberiség jövőjét kutató intézetének (Future of Humanity Institute) vezető kutatója úgy vélekedett, hogy az ilyen információk megosztása nagy kockázatot rejt, ezt pedig nem szabad figyelmen kívül hagyni.
Sandberg szerint az idegen civilizációk kutatása komoly munka, ám ennek ellenére sokan viccet csinálnak belőle. Hozzátette ugyanakkor azt is, hogy egy általunk küldött üzenetet valószínűleg soha nem fognának be az idegen életformák, mert a tartalomnak ehhez előbb elképesztő távolságokat kellene utaznia. Ha pedig meg is érkezne valahova, és valakikhez, nem jelentene többet számukra egy képeslapnál. Bizonyos kockázat viszont így is van, amit pedig nem szabad lebecsülni – hangsúlyozta a tudós.
Sandberg végezetül szóba hozta a világ sokáig legokosabb emberének tartott fizikus, Stephen Hawking szavait is. A híres tudós korábban ugyanis arról beszélt: az Arecibóhoz hasonló tartalmak sugárzása kockázatos lehet, mert nem tudhatjuk, milyen szándék vezérli azt, akinek a tartalom szól.
