Volodimir Zelenszkij elnök a Mentőváros tiszteletbeli címet adományozta Csehország fővárosának, Prágának az ukrán menekülteknek és Ukrajnának nyújtott támogatásért – számolt be pénteken az rbc.ua hírportál a 742/2022 számú elnöki rendeletre hivatkozva.
Az elnöki ukáz elrendeli a Mentőváros cím adományozását Prága (Csehország) városának. A dokumentum hangsúlyozza azt is, hogy a díjat Prága a humanizmusáért, az ukrán néppel való együttérzésért és szolidaritásért, az Oroszországi Föderáció Ukrajna elleni fegyveres agressziója következtében az ország elhagyására kényszerült ukrán állampolgárok átfogó támogatásáért, valamint az Ukrajna függetlensége és szuverenitása védelméhez nyújtott hatékony segítségért kapja.
A hírportál emlékeztetett arra, hogy 2022 májusában hozták létre Ukrajna külföldi partnervárosai számára a Mentőváros tiszteletbeli címet, amelyet Ukrajna elnöke első ízben a lengyel Rzeszów városnak ítélt oda. Júliusban Zelenszkij rendeletet adott ki, amellyel a lengyelországi Przemyśl városnak adományozta a Mentőváros címet.
