K\u00e9t\u00e9ves misszi\u00f3j\u00e1t j\u00falius 4-\u00e9n fejezte be, ezalatt 66 \u00faj exobolyg\u00f3t, vagyis naprendszer\u00fcnk\u00f6n k\u00edv\u00fcli plan\u00e9t\u00e1t, valamint majdnem 2100 exobolyg\u00f3jel\u00f6ltet fedezett fel, ezek adatainak elemz\u00e9s\u00e9n a csillag\u00e1szok m\u00e9g dolgoznak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201eA TESS m\u00e1r most, kiterjesztett k\u00fcldet\u00e9s\u00e9nek kezdete el\u0151tt \u00f3ri\u00e1si siker\u201d \u2013 mondta el a Phys.org tudom\u00e1nyos h\u00edrport\u00e1lnak Patricia Boyd, a projekt munkat\u00e1rsa a NASA greenbelti Goddard \u0171rkutat\u00e1si k\u00f6zpontj\u00e1ban. A TESS n\u00e9gy kamer\u00e1j\u00e1val nagyj\u00e1b\u00f3l egy h\u00f3napon \u00e1t vizsg\u00e1lja a csillagos \u00e9g egy-egy szelet\u00e9t, amelyeket szektoroknak neveznek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Els\u0151 \u00e9v\u00e9ben a d\u00e9li \u00e9gbolt 13 szektor\u00e1t t\u00e9rk\u00e9pezte fel, a k\u00f6vetkez\u0151 \u00e9vben az \u00e9szaki \u00e9gbolt adatait r\u00f6gz\u00edtette. A kiterjesztett misszi\u00f3hoz megfordult, hogy \u00fajra a d\u00e9li eget vizsg\u00e1lja. Az adatgy\u0171jt\u00e9s \u00e9s -feldolgoz\u00e1s m\u00f3dj\u00e1t k\u00f6zben fejlesztett\u00e9k, most minden t\u00edz percben, vagyis h\u00e1romszor nagyobb sebess\u00e9ggel k\u00e9sz\u00edt teljes k\u00e9pet, mint els\u0151 misszi\u00f3ja idej\u00e9n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A fejleszt\u00e9snek k\u00f6sz\u00f6nhet\u0151en h\u00fasz m\u00e1sodpercenk\u00e9nt m\u00e9ri meg csillagok ezreinek a f\u00e9nyerej\u00e9t, kor\u00e1bban ezt k\u00e9tpercenk\u00e9nt tudta elv\u00e9gezni. Az \u00faj misszi\u00f3nak 2022 szeptember\u00e9ben lesz v\u00e9ge.
